the ergonomics of a house brick
A complainant often leveled at medium format system cameras, like the hasselblad 500 series and the zenza bronicas is the phrase "the ergonomics of a house brick", to an SLR user on the face of it this maybe true to look at, a MFs (medium format system camera) once handled for only a few minuets it's easy for the mind and hands to adapt to the style of looking down rater than threw. that said there where attempts to bridge the gap with grips replicating the action of a traditional SLR, with thumb coking lever, and with eye level prisms it still left the MFs cumbersome to handle due in most part to the shear wight of the system lifted up to eye level, this lead to most MFs being relegated to studio work from a tripod and left the 35mm SLRs to the outside work.

A new beginning with old technology
Welcome to the amazing and often frustrating world of film photography,
come with me on my journey of discovery as I throw off the 10000's taken 1 used world of digital for a slower more considered approach to the art we call photography.
So who am I well I am Simon a pro photographer who like many was seduced by the bright lights of digital SLR's but after loosing the love of just going out and shooting for the fun of it I decided to slow down and just look, with that in mind I decided to buy my self a 120 medium format camera and start producing actual photos rather than snap shots (not that theirs anything wrong with that).
so my aim is to bring you along on my journey to rediscover my lost love of my craft.
